Oxalic Acid Varroa Treatment – 1kg
Oxalic Acid is a widely used and effective treatment for controlling Varroa mites in honeybee colonies. Commonly applied during broodless periods, it works by contacting and eliminating phoretic mites on adult bees, helping reduce overall mite loads and support colony health.
Suitable for use with both dribble and vaporization methods, oxalic acid offers flexibility for different beekeeping practices. When used as directed, it is a reliable tool in an integrated pest management (IPM) approach to maintaining strong, productive hives.
Important: Oxalic acid is most effective when little to no brood is present, as it does not penetrate capped cells.
Safety & Handling:
Oxalic acid is a corrosive substance and must be handled with care. Always wear appropriate protective gloves, eye protection, and a respirator when preparing and applying treatments. Follow all local regulations and label directions for safe and effective use.
