Hive Tour & Honey Tasting

Step inside the fascinating world of the honey bee with a hands-on tour of our working apiary!

Suit up in protective beekeeping gear and join an experienced beekeeper as we open a live hive and explore the incredible world happening inside. You’ll learn how a honey bee colony works, see brood and honey up close, discover what beekeepers look for during an inspection, and if we’re lucky spot the queen!

After your hive adventure, we’ll finish with a guided honey tasting by a honey sommolier, sampling a selection of delicious honeys while discovering how different flowers and nectar sources create remarkably different colours, aromas and flavours.

Your experience includes:

• Guided tour of a working apiary
• Hands-on hive inspection
• Protective beekeeping equipment
• Introduction to honey bee biology and beekeeping
• Guided tasting of local and specialty honeys
• Plenty of time for questions

Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
Suitable for: Adults and families; no beekeeping experience necessary.

Please note: This is an outdoor, weather-dependent experience. Tours may be postponed or rescheduled in the event of rain, high winds, extreme temperatures, or other conditions that make opening the hives unsafe for our bees or guests. All participants will be required to sign a waiver.
